Blogging day 2

All I have to say is thank god it's Friday. I am so ready for the weekend already but since I have a few hours left before I am "released" I decided to continue this blogging thing. So today I have a confession. There are very few people in my life who know this fact about me but I guess I'll just share it with whoever comes across this blog.

I am makeup obsessed.

It's a sickness that I acquired probably around 4 years ago when I was a freshmen in college and I blame it all on YouTube. The sad part is that over the years I have collected so much makeup and most of it is barely touched. I never wanted to be one of those girls who couldn't leave the house without makeup on but as of recently I've realized that I actually feel very self conscious when there is nothing on my face (or at least my eyelashes curled). So I am going to start blogging about my personal experience with makeup and what I've learned through my purchases.

Let's begin:

Tip #1: If you are ever going to put any sort of eyeshadow on your eyes the first thing you should do is invest in a good primer. I must've applied eyeshadow for at least a year (in high school) without primer and I didn't know any better. I had heard about these eye primers through YouTube but as a student getting a 30$ allowance a week, I could never get myself to spend 15$ on a primer. It wasn't until a year had past that I finally decided to try one out. I picked up loreal decrease at the drugstore for about $5 and I thought eh it's alright. Didn't seem like it made a huge difference but I did see some results. A year later I finally bit the bullet. I purchase the too faced shadow insurance and remember that the first time I used it I was blown away. I only wished that I had purchasottis two years prior because my shadows looked so much better. It is expensive but trust me it is well worth the price and it will last you a long time. I've had my tube for about a year and it is probably only half way done.

Tip 1.5: Get a tube of this stuff in a gift set tht comes out around Christmas. You'll be able to pay about 40$ for the full tube and about 12 eyehadows. Such a great deal and also great for starters. Other great brands (so I've heard) are urban decays and Nars eye primers. Both of those brands however are geared more towards oily lids and since I have dry lids I stick to to the too faced.

I'll continue with more tips during work next week. Until then has a great weekend!
